Application Analyst

Description:

  • Assist in planning and executing the integration of new applications into existing systems and software throughout the enterprise.
  • Provide input on how integration projects can meet end users' needs. Identify and resolve systems issues.
  • Test software and applications under development in order to identify and remedy potential problem areas.
  • Collaborate with other analysts and system engineers in the testing of newly-integrated software programs and applications.
  • Assist in evaluating the results of integration projects.
  • Evaluate and research new software, making recommendations for integration implementation.
  • Provide back-up support for maintenance and troubleshooting of all firm SQL databases.
  • Develop custom Access databases for case management.
  • Provide third level front-end technical support for all applications.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years previous law firm experience
  • Extensive knowledge of core software applications, including Microsoft Office 2003, Interwoven FileSite document management, and litigation support packages including Summation, Lotus Notes, JFS, and IPRO.
  • Significant experience in the development and implementation of Access 2003 databases.
  • Significant experience troubleshooting SQL 2000 databases as well as basic knowledge of SQL 2000 administration.
  • Familiarity with the procedures to develop a solid desktop and the ability to develop software packages for distribution.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other groups in the Information Systems department.
  • Must posses good documentation skills and the ability to prioritize assigned tasks.
  • Must be self-motivated and detail oriented
